I am looking for a job. If you know of a job, please tell me.

Also, please post any good job sites (local, I already know about monster, hotjobs, etc.) that you like.

Thus far, the best ones are:

Macintosh Specialist in Des Moines

FBI Agent (Though I include it here as a joke, it's not as silly as it sounds; they are looking for computer specialists to track down terrorists/criminals on the web. I actually meet the minimum professional requirements. Though I would have to give up the Ren faire operation, which I won't do)

I suspect all of these are too far away for you - but here is the list I used when I was searching in Iowa City:

check UIowa merit positions 2xs a week
http://hris.uiowa.edu/jobline/meritRequisition/
check UIowa professional positions 2xs a week
http://www.uiowa.edu/hr/employment/hr.html
check Kirkwood pages
http://www.kirkwood.edu/humanres/employment/index.html
check Gillette
http://www.gillette.com/careers/us/careers/y/profframe.html
check ACT
http://www.act.org/humanresources/
check Corridor Careers website
http://www.corridorcareers.com/
check newspaper daily
hmmm I do this with the actual paper... lets see.. here it is:
http://press-citizen.gannettonline.com/careerbuilder/
check grinnell
http://www.grinnell.edu/offices/humanresources/employmentopportunities/
other job hunt site: (I don't like the usability on this site - but it has stuff the others don't.)

The Carreer Corridors one might extend up into Waterloo - I don't know. And it was probably the best.
In my search here in Sioux City - the local newspaper's online classifieds have yielded the most interviews. for what that's worth.

Good luck!

These actually aren't too far away. I've been looking in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines and Waterloo. I'm at a point where I can relocate if need be.

The FBI won't let you hang out with Renne Faire folks? Are they some kind of Homeland Security threat? Is there going to be a fake-Renaissance uprising soon? Is the SCA some kind of 21st century SLA looking for a brand-new Patricia Hearst? I know medieval religion is all the rage now, but this seems kind of extreme. Renne Faire folks are a little weird, but it's not like they're furries or anime cosplayers.

It won't be posted until after the beginning of October, but if you're willing to do helldesk, Rockwell will be looking for one more soon (not me, we lost a tech about a month ago and they're waiting until the next fiscal year to start in October before posting it.)

I have no useful advice at all. I just want to say that your userpic is seriously cute. Now that doesn't bring in the big bucks, I know.

If you can get in the state system working for UNI or U of Iowa, do. They treat you really, really well. Great benefits.

Some links for you. :)

http://www.kirkwood.edu/

They have website developer and graphic designer positions open.

I'll seventh(?) the suggestion of corridor careers. It's a good site. I'd also take a look at the Des Moines Register classifieds.

Hrm...can't think of anything else at the moment. Best of luck!!
